The Third Seed
In the parable of the sower Jesus tells a story about four seeds. Most Christians identify as the fourth seed because they are “saved”; I identify more with the third seed at times.
Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

Hi. My name is Kevin Tupper. At times I struggle with irrational worries, fear of deprivation, or a loss of kingdom focus as I become distracted by other things. Throw in occasional regret over past failures and not living up to my potential and I can become anxious and unhappy (the opposite of “blessed”) even when life is going well.
Christian Simplicity is one of the ways I cooperate with God and learn how to be a fruitful seed. My hope is that in the midst of curating, sharing notes, and interacting with other Jesus followers, I’ll find my way into the Heart of Christian Simplicity, and at the same time point others to Jesus and their way into life with him.
