Christians Simplicity, L3C, is a social enterprise birthed from our passion for following Jesus and our expertise in the area of personal finance.
Following Jesus
Following Jesus in a media-driven society that is saturated with materialism and consumerism is not easy. We are under constant pressure from marketers who know our weaknesses and have “just the thing” to bring us fulfillment and a better life.
Unfortunately, whether it’s an idea, a product, or a service, “just the thing” usually ends up further enslaving us to selfishness, greed, and arrogance. Our lives are diminished when the cares of the world, the deceitfulness of riches, or desires for other things take precedence
Christian Simplicity is a social enterprise with a vision for following Jesus in a lifestyle that is inwardly rich toward God and outwardly rich toward our neighbors.
We encourage people with the truth that life is not measured in the abundance of possessions; God can be trusted to take care of us; we don’t need to rely on our own ingenuity and ability to secure our future; we can live in the creative goodness of God.
Personal Finance
Following Jesus doesn’t eliminate the unique issues that arise from living in the 21st century in an affluent culture. Decisions about savings, debt, education, healthcare, insurance, taxes, lifestyle, and so forth cannot be avoided.
It is frustrating that the information we need to make quality decisions is often provided by people who do not understand our desire to follow Jesus and who stand to personally benefit from our making the “right” decisions.
Because we have experience, knowledge, and an interest in personal finance, we started Arkeo Financial as a project of Christian Simplicity. We work with people who desire to manage their finances in light of the reality of the kingdom of God and in a way that supports the unique dreams and goals that come from a life in Jesus.
We want to help anyone who is interested in making these decisions with God, so we do not charge anything for this service; neither do we receive any compensation from other people or businesses. Our ability to offer this freely is underwritten by gifts from generous people who support what we’re doing.
