The Heart of Christian Simplicity

Jesus invites us to a life of joyous trust – a way of living in which everything we have we receive as a gift, and everything we have is cared for by God, and everything we have is available to others when it is right and good. This reality frames the heart of Christian Simplicity. It is the means of liberation and power to do what is right and to overcome the forces of fear and avarice.

Conversations about God, Money, and Trust

A life of joyous trust sounds wonderful, doesn’t it?  So why is it that we spend so little of our days actually living that way?  How do we settle into it as a way of life?  Does it look the same for everyone?

Hi.  My name is Kevin Tupper, and I have been seeking answers to questions like these for many years.  I know others have too and that is one of the reasons I started Christian Simplicity — to foster conversations about God, money, and trust.

Why a conversation?  Because we’re all different.  Different personalities, different backgrounds, different beliefs, different dreams, different hurts, different circumstances.  “Six steps to financial peace” doesn’t work the same way for everyone.  The way for the factory worker from a broken home on the other side of the tracks differs from that of the well-to-do college graduate who is from a stable family and has never had a problem earning a good income.  Your story doesn’t match either of those, and neither does mine.  Through a conversation we can inspire, encourage, and learn from each other.

My hope that is in the midst of curating content and having conversations with other Jesus followers, I’ll find my way into the Heart of Christian Simplicity, and at the same time point others to Jesus and their way into life with him.
